Market day is today!!

 Today is market day and we finished doing our  preparation
and today we also went to other peoples stalles and checked their work as well. At Least 3 other people had stolen our idea, However I think our one is the best one! As you can see from this picture THat i took of our stall that It has a big board showing the price and our names and our logo we also showed our prices to indicate how much they are worth! Mr Dun had make'n the big board and he also told us to set up our wood in fancy ways to attract customers And we also have paper bags in the background of our products, we got the bags from COuntdown. We got 13 bags for $0.20 Small wood is on the right side by the green table and the large wood are on the left side to the wall. THis product has taken us at least 9 weeks to create and we are very pleased with the results. We are deciding to bring a table cloth to put on the table for attraction and we might not if we canrt find it. AT the end of the day we hope that our product sells and we make a decent amount of money for the charity we will donate     

Week 9 reflections

 

1. Do you feel your team has worked well together? How so? 

I do believe my team has worked very well, they have helped me to do tasks and we have showed teamwork and hard working, we never gave up during our project and we were not goofing of while making it. 

2. What have you done to get over difficulties or challenges? 

How I managed to get over difficulties and challenges were asking my team mates for help and the teacher as well

3. How has your teacher helped you to become business prepared for market day? 

They have been yelling at us to do our work and we have been totally focused to do our work  

4. List all the things you need to bring with you for market day next Friday We need to bring bags for the driftwood and smaller bags for the candles 

We Finished Our Product!!!

 Today we finished our product and chived them as well. Today we completed 3 driftwood and my favourite one must be the one on the far right! It has so many holes and it looks very clean, and with the candles in it looks more beautiful. We will know be planning on how to sell it and are also planning on completing our poster and deciding where we should get our bags from, for putting the wood in and selling it, we might also have our candles in a different packaging as it has a chance of falling if on the wood and getting crushed which is not good. we are deciding to sell the big ones for about $15 and the small ones for atleast $10 or $12 and if next week we have time I will go to the workshop and grab the wood which is full of sand and grab a wet paint brush and clean it of or maybe without water.

Week 9 morning planning

 Today we brought more driftwood from the beach and today we are planning to complete making it today, so next week we can do packaging and how to set it up and posters. So we will be shiving and making holes in the wood,Joe and Gagan will be making holes and I will be shiving. And we will probably try to make the posters today if we have time.

Week 8 reflections

1. How do you think you have used your time today?

I have used my time very well and so have my teammates. Because we sort of finished chiving out wood, The only chiving we have to do is the one. That I will have to go to the beach and collect the driftwood and make holes clean it up.  

2. What has been your biggest achievement today? 

Our biggest achievement for today was thinking and talking about how we will be selling our product, We thought of putting the driftwood in the paper bag and the candles will be separate in a smaller packaging. Our large wood will be for $18 and our small wood will be for $12.

4. What do you need to do to make sure you will be on task for next week? 

 

Week 8 Morning Planning

 Today were going to be chiving all of our wood and try to make it clean, we cant do to much as we don't have any more wood. As I went to the beach yesterday afternoon the rain had ruined all the wood and it did become soggy, so tomorrow if it's a sunny day .Ill go there to check for more driftwood.  

Prep Reflection Week 7

 

1. How do you think you have used your time today?

We have used our time really well. because we made our products and are planning to get more driftwood from the beach and we problem solved well and did good teamwork, we completed the angels on the wood so it is straight.  

2. What has been your biggest achievement today

We figured out how to fix the holes which were on the driftwood by getting help by Mr Ventor and he also gave us some wood to put under the wood as it is being drilled so it wont move

3. Name someone in your class (from another group) who you think is making a cool product. What is their product and why do you think it will sell. I really like Izans groups products and it is coasters I think it's cool cause it is shaped perfectly and is coloured with dark brown, It will sell good as it looks beautiful.

4. What do you need to do to make sure you will be on task for next week?  Next week we will be drilling holes on to the driftwood and fix any angels, If there will be. ANd we also have to collect the driftwood from the beach.

Week 7 Morning planning

 Today we will be finishing our product and fix the angels of the driftwood cause they are not straight and have a chance  of the candles falling out with  it being lit, And after fixing three angels  we will start putting more holes on the driftwood and start collecting more driftwood after    

Week 6 reflection of PREP

  I believe that my group used our time very very well because we are technically done however we need to put a twig and drill the pieces of the driftwood a bit more so it's not on a angle. My biggest achievement for today was that we managed to get done with our  project and that it look's so beautiful.  The coolest project that that i have found cool was owen's group, and it is a coaster, the cool thing about it any why it is going to sell well is going to be because it is made out of a tree so a mini tree cut to make a coaster. Were going to be fixing the angle of our driftwood and that is all we have to do.

Morning planning week 6

So today me and my partners will start on go to the workshop to work on our product. Each have a duty and it will be Gagan and Joe creating holes in the driftwood and I will be chiseling  the holes so it can be smooth and steady, we will spend at least 2 blocks on this project as we are nearly done with this project, and at block 3 we will think about marketing our product.

Week 4 reflections

 1.Today went well because we got to start on our driftwood and we got to make a prototype and our final presentation as well we will possibly be done by  2 weeks all we have to do is maybe oil it to make it a natural and darker look because of our team work we managed to complete 2.

2.What I found difficult was trying to hold down the driftwood while it with being drilled, we all had to put pressure while we drilled on it.how we managed to overcome it was to imply pressure with me and my friend joe holding it down.

3. Business terms that we learned were, You need to have a prototype before you complete the final product as practicing, NOT to sit around and work as a team to complete stuff, And need to have everything planned out before doing anything 

4. Next week we need to get more driftwood as the 4 were not good, and  working as a team so we all have a job and finish everything

Plan Friday 30th October

Plan for today will be, Making our product as we have all the equipment needed and have a video that explains how to make the product.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXm36rkTFeo We will need A, Shive to remove the excess wood off after drilling the holes in the driftwood, and the machine that makes holes in the driftwood, a pencil for measuring and where we will drill, and I would  say that's all, we 3 will have roles during this, joe and gagan will be making holes and I will be shiving

Week 3 reflection questions

 

Today we were all prepared and asked to go to the woodwork room to make a prototype of a driftwood hanger we figured it out how we were going to make it and how we were going to sell it and how much money we need to make! We also thought of a design for our driftwood hanger.  There was one difficult thing that we had to do and that it also ruined ours moods, but we actually thought it was a good idea and that was changing our product! We were in the woodwork room and a teacher came and said we should change it because it was quite difficult to make and i agreed. so we changed it into driftwood tea lights and to be honest it was quiet beautiful. For the three business terms that i learnt that was, quality work that was all tbh. Next week when it's week 4 I should collect driftwood on this Sunday and bring it on Thursday and also buy tea lights.  

About Me Profile

Driftwood hangers PLANNING

 

So we are currently planning on collecting the driftwood, so we had an idea that on Sunday on the 25th of the October we are going to go to the waikanae beach to collect driftwood we will collect approximately 10 driftwood and we will also collect 40 pieces of sticks to have it drilled on the wood and make it into a hanger, We will be there at 2pm in the afternoon, we will be there for 1 to 3 hours to collect the best wood! We will transfer the materials we need from Gagan and I's bike and joe will take it in his vehicle with his dad giving us company.( Me and Gagan are trained pro's so we will be safe taking the wood!) We will take the wood to school with a bag and store it in the woodwork room. With our logo we will glue it on the bottom giving pride of our work. Driftwood is a natural resource sustainability because Millions of pieces come from the ocean and as the government is getting sick of it, we can collect some. And that it is a wood that doesn't get cut of the trees and is harmful   

Week 2 Reflection questions

Today went well because my team managed to finish the business proposal and the cv and careers expert work, so as me, We also thought about making the driftwood black and have the logo on the middle with there being only 4 hooks on it!The Cv was hard cause I didn't have a job so I had to sit on the chair for 3 minutes thinking about my work experiences I did not learn any new business terms Next week is the holidays so i wont be there!

Week 2 of Prep Introduction of our product

 Today I will be talking about our product Named the ''Driftwood Hangers'' This piece of simple wood will revolutionise the wood market, it has a feature of holding clothes, hats and any wearable material, It will have a simple fit design so you could put it anywhere around the house. We will have it coloured black as it will look amazing with our logo and have it placed on the middle of the wood.Our logo will be this  (which is on the top!) The hanger will have a silver or black round hook which will be holding the clothes. This will be the key material on our amazing product! If you are wondering what '' You can drift with the wood'' means well it can mean anything, such as in my mind it means, Give your life to the wood!

          

 Today we had a programme called prep and the members in my group were Joe and Gagan, we will be doing it for along time until the date of the 4th of december 2020, The things that went well was making the logo for our company and deciding on what we're going to be designing, our team work was very good we were listening to all of the members and paying attention and giving ideas! The difficulty we had was making the logo because we never did that in our existence and the website was very confusing to use. What i need to work on for next week, I need to get a better understanding with what i will do and write down more of what we will do
